September 26, 2011: Warner Bros. Reveals Cast of "Justice League: Doom"
Warner Bros. has officialy announced the all-star voice cast for "Justice League: Doom" and fans will certainly recognize quite a few of the actors returning to familiar roles.
Tim Daly will return as the voice of Superman which he has previously portrayed on "Superman: The Animated Series" as well as the WHV animated DVD-movies "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" and "Superman/Batman: Apocolypse".
Longtime voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy will also return to the role he first made famous in the 1990's classic, "Batman: The Animated Series" as well as the Cartoon Network series, "Justice League" & "Justice League Unlimited". Just like Daly, Conroy has also previously reprised the role of Batman in the "Superman/Batman" animated films.
Joining Daly and Conroy will be "Castle" star Nathan Fillion who will reprise the role of Green Lantern which he first played in "Green Lantern: Emerald Knights".
Rounding our the "Justice League: Doom" cast will be Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum as the Flash, Alias alum Carl Lumbly as Martian Manhunter and veteran voice actress Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman. Cyborg will also be featured in the animated film and will be played by Bumper Robinson (The Game).
The movie will be loosly based on the popular DC Comics "JLA: Tower of Babel" storyline written by Mark Waid. The plot involves Batman's secret contingency plans to defeat his own teammates (should any of them go rogue) being stolen and put into action by a group of super villains.
Bruce Timm is once again on board as Executive Producer and is joined by Lauren Montgomery, a veteran of several animated movies in this series, as director. The script was written by the late Dwayne McDuffie who passed away earlier this year.
An official trailer for "Justice League: Doom" will premiere on Friday, October 14th at New York Comic Con and will also be featured on the "Batman: Year One" DVD which goes on sale Tuesday, October 18th.
"Justice League: Doom" is due to be released in early 2012 on DVD, Blu-ray, digital download and on-demand.
