"Man of Steel" lead actor, Henry Cavill and his fiancee, international showjumper fiancee Ellen Whitaker have decided to put an end to their three-year relationship.

A friend of Ms. Whitaker's has confirmed the split with the Daily Mail stating, "They just weren’t getting on." The article goes on to report that Ms. Whitaker has moved to Newcastle with her best friend.

The couple met in 2009 at the Olympia International Horse Show.

Alongside Cavill, "Man of Steel" stars Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni and Russell Crowe.

The film opens nationwide on June 14, 2013.
