June 29, 2011: Tim Daly Talks New Superman Movie

Actor Tim Daly, who provided the voice for the Man of Steel on "Superman: The Animated Series", recently spoke with E! Online about Zack Snyder's upcoming reboot, "Man of Steel" and stated that he doesn't exactly have high hopes for the film.

"All these superhero movies seem exactly the same to me," said Daly. "I keep wanting to be surprised, but I'm not. It seems like [people] who went to college to learn to read pie charts are making these movies."

Daly joked that he would like to see a throwback to the 1950s TV series "The Adventures of Superman" starring George Reeves. "I would be happy if they had some guy standing around in tights and wearing a girdle... that would be fun."

"Man of Steel" begins filming in Plano, IL in August and is expected to debut in theaters during the 2012 Christmas season.
