Following the recent casting call in Chicago, IL for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, "Man of Steel", a loyal fan of ComicBookMovie.com by the name of Jake Rapp took the short drive over to Plano, IL which will double for Smallville in the upcoming film.

In a report to CBM, Rapp states that Plano is a very "Norman Rockwell" type small town and is perfect for Smallville. He goes on to state that while driving around the town, he decided to stop and ask a police officer if any filming on "Man of Steel" had begun. The officer reported that construction of some temporary structures around town had begun and that the site for the Kent farm had not yet been revealed, but suggested that it would be close to town. The officer also stated that he had been informed that Plano would only be featured in about fifteen minutes of the film.

Below are pictures Rapp took with his cell phone of what could be the first possible set pics from the film. Due to security being present, Rapp states that he was unable to get too close to the structures.
