June 14, 2012: Justice League Receives Pixar Treatment

Warner Bros. recently announced that a Justice League movie was back in the planning stages once again.

While fans wait to see whether or not the film will actually see the light of day this time, Bleeding Cool reports that artist Daniel Araya has taken the concept of a Justice League movie to the next level by creating some Pixar-inspired images of what the JLA would look like in a CGI animated feature film.

"Just for fun I started doing concepts for a faux Justice League CG movie," said Araya. "I've always been a huge fan of Bruce Timm and the DC Timmverse he helped create, and I thought it would be cool to basically design the JLA movie that I would direct if given the chance. I didn't do any huge drastic changes because I didn't want to betray the characters in terms of who they are and what they're about."

With Pixar being owned by Disney who also now owns Marvel, it's safe to say that the idea of a JLA animated film ever being considered by the studio will never happen.
