June 7, 2012: Licensing Agreements Set for "Man of Steel"

Variety reports that Warner Bros. has lined up its first licensing partners for director Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" film before heading to Las Vegas for next week's Licensing Expo.

According to the article, such companies as Lego, Mattel and Rubie's Costume Co, Noble Collection, Kinetix, Junkfood, Bioworld, Converse and Hallmark will release toys, costumes, apparel and party goods as well as ornaments for the upcoming reboot of the Superman film franchise.

Lego also will create construction sets, while Pressman Toy, Games Workshop, Eaglemoss and Ravensburger will produce toys and puzzles.

"Man of Steel" stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Joer-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Kevin Costner as Jonathon 'Pa' Kent, Diane Lane as Martha 'Ma' Kent, Michael Shannon as Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Richard Schiff as Dr. Emil Hamilton, Cooper Timberline as Clark Kent (Age 9), Dylan Sprayberry as Clark Kent (age 13), Jadin Gould as Lana Lang (age 13) and Robert Gerdisch as Whitney Fordham (age 14).

Superman is scheduled to make his return to the silver screen on Friday, June 14, 2013.
