Cupsogue Pictures in association with Eaglehouse Pictures have released the following teaser trailer for the upcoming fan-film "Superman: Requiem":
The film's plot will focus on Superman who, as the world's greatest super hero, has come to be relied on by law enforcement across the globe to deal with some of the major tasks that face society. When the Man of Steel loses some of his powers after an evil villain attacks him with Kryptonite though, he must overcome his obstacles and prove he really is a super man.
"Superman: Requiem" is a high-value fan-film that depicts the life of Superman several years after the events of "Superman Returns", and takes into account the events of Superman (1978), Superman: II (1980) and Superman Returns (2006) and focuses on an event by an evil alien who attempts to make Superman loose his powers.
The film was conceived in 2010 by producer Gene Fallaize who decided he was going to make an independent Superman fan-film and wrote the first draft of the script in less than a week. Fallaize brought Tony Cook on board to co-produce to project to allow him the freedom and time to direct the project. Daniella Pellegrini joined the team in early 2011 when pre-production began.
"Superman: Requiem" will star Martin Richardson as Clark Kent/Superman, Stacy Sobieski as Ali Noels (a rearranging of the Lois Lane name) Julian McDowell as Perry White, Audrey Kaipio as Cat Grant and Robert Hartley Wainwright as the film's villain, Alex Luthor, estranged son to Lex Luthor.
Filming is due to commence this month across the UK ahead of a Winter 2011 release, and will be available for streaming and free download.
