Could Daniel Day-Lewis now be a contender for the role of General Zod in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot?

In a new report from Moviehole, the site claims to have heard that Warner Bros. is considering Lewis for "an unspecified role in this film" which may turn out to be that of Zod.

This latest rumor comes on the heels of recent reports that Daniel Day-Lewis is being considered for the same role.

Lewis recently signed on to star in Stephen Spielberg's Abraham Lincoln biopic that may not begin filming until next year which would free up the actor's schedule to star in the Superman reboot.
