The Superman Super Site is proud to introduce a new weekly series entitled "The Forgotten Supermen" where, each Monday, we will feature an actor that has portrayed the Man of Steel in a particular form of media such as television, film, or radio.
This week's forgotten Superman is actor Matthew Bomer who portrayed Clark Kent and the Man of Steel in a series of Toyota Prius commercials in Japan during 2009.
Bomer was born October 11, 1977 in Spring, Texas and has starred in many tv shows and films during the course of his acting career including "All My Children", "Guiding Light", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning", "Flight Plan", and the 2011 film "In Time" in which he plays a 105-year-old man Henry Hamilton, who gives his "time" to Justin Timberlake before committing suicide, setting the main plot into motion.
Since 2009, Bomer has starred on the hit USA Network series, "White Collar" which chronicles the fictional partnership between a con artist named Neal Caffrey (Bomer) and FBI agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay).
Bomer was also director Brett Ratner's top choice for the role of Superman when he was working on the unmade "Superman: Flyby" film project back in 2002.
