January 20, 2012: Actor Dylan Sprayberry Cast as Teenage Clark Kent

IMDB reports that actor Dylan Sprayberry has been cast as a thirteen-year-old Clark Kent in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, "Man of Steel".

According to his website, Sprayberry was born on July 7, 1998 in Houston, Texas and has starred opposite former Superman actor Dean Cain in the 2009 Movie of the Week, "The Christmas Gift" as well as appearances in "Land of the Lost" with Will Ferrell and "Old Dogs" with John Travolta.

In 2011, Sprayberry had supporting roles in two independent movies entitled "Shuffle" and "Blossom" as well as the Disney family film, "Spooky Buddies".

"Man of Steel" stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Kevin Costner as Jonathon 'Pa' Kent, Diane Lane as Martha 'Ma' Kent, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Richard Schiff as Dr. Emil Hamilton.

Superman is scheduled to make his return to the silver screen on Friday, June 14, 2013.
