Classic Superman Cartoons Screening at Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage

by Neil Cole

A special screening of select episodes from the classic Fleischer Superman cartoons will be presented by the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Beachwood, OH on Monday, December 25th from 11:00AM - 5:00PM.

These classic cartoons feature the first appearance of Superman in animated form and were produced by Fleischer Studios from 1941 to 1942 before Famous Studios, a successor company to Fleischer Studios, took over production on the final eight episodes from 1942 to 1943.

In addition to the Fleischer Superman cartoon screening, visitors will also be able to explore the museum's newest exhibition, "Beyond Chicken Soup: Jews & Medicine in America", which features more than 200 artifacts, photographs and documents, including highlights from Cleveland's Mt. Sinai Hospital.

While admission to the day's events is free, visitors to the museum are encouraged to bring a canned good donation and/or pay what you can toward museum admission.
