October 4, 2016: Crews Tear Down Kent Farmhouse Set in Yorkville, IL

Posted by Neil Cole

As we reported last week, activity was recently spotted taking place at the Kent Farm set in Yorkville, IL which was featured in both "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".

Initial speculation was that the site was possibly being prepared for a "Justice League" film shoot but we have now learned that this is not the case at all.

Thanks once again to Gregory Zonsius from ZonCom Productions, we now know that the reason crews were actually on site was to tear down the Kent Farmhouse as can be seen in the following photos provided exclusively to the Superman Super Site:

Considering that filming recently wrapped on "Justice League", it is possible that crews did indeed film briefly at the site before tearing down the farmhouse but time will tell what if any footage from the Kent Farm will appear the final film.

Crews previously dismantled the farmhouse - as opposed to completely tearing it down - following filming on "Man of Steel" only to reassemble it for scenes shot during "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".

"Justice League" hits theaters November 16th, 2017 and stars Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jared Leto as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg.
