Warner Bros. Movie World in Queensland, Australia have announced that their new "Doomsday Destroyer" thrill ride will officially open to the public on Saturday, September 24th.

The new ride is themed after the DC Comics monstrous villain Doomsday who famously killed Superman in 1992 and was built by Swiss ride manufacturer Intamin AG who also designed and built the "Superman Escape" Intamin Accelerator Coaster.

Known as a "Suspended Twin Hammer" ride, "Doomsday Destroyer" stands over 20 meters high and features two duelling arms that are capable of rotating 360 degrees.

The ride will be located in the park's new interactive DC Comics Super-Villain precinct which is also set to officially open on September 24th.
