September 3, 2015: Special "Superman: The Movie" Screening to Honor Fallen Officer

In honor of fallen police officer Lt. Joe Gliniewicz, the McHenry Outdoor Theater in McHenry, IL will host a special screening of "Superman: The Movie" on September 9th.

In an effort to honor Lt. Gliniewicz and support his family in this difficult time, The McHenry Outdoor Theater would like to host an event in which 100% of all proceeds will be presented to the Gliniewicz family via the Fox Lake Police Department. On Wednesday, September 9th, we will be showing 1978's SUPERMAN. Admission to this feature will be a donation of your choosing. We will also have popcorn, candy and soft drinks available for an additional donation. Again, ALL donations will go directly to the Gliniewicz family to help them in any capacity necessary.

The movie SUPERMAN only seems fitting for this real-life superhero that we have lost. He truly was a super man. Superheroes DO exist. They just don't wear capes- they wear badges.

Gates will open at 6:30PM Wednesday night while the movie screening will begin around 8:00PM. Visit the McHenry Outdoor Theater Facebook page for more information.
