August 10, 2014: "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" Artwork

Blog site Idle Hands have posted a collection of artwork stills from the upcoming DC Comics Original Animated Feature, "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis".
The animated film adapts the 2013 "Throne of Atlantis" comic arc that pits the undersea nation of Atlantis against the surface world. However, unlike the comic, the movie will also focus on how young Arthur Curry learns of his aquatic heritage.
"We meet him at a low point in his life," says supervising producer James Tucker in an interview with TV Guide. "He's a little bit lost. His father has died and he's always been an outsider, so the one person who had his back is now gone. When that Atlanteans instigate incidents to escalate a war with the surface world, he doesn't yet know who he is. As he discovers his true history he's going to have a lot of choices to make. It's definitely about him finding his own path."

"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" will feature the voice talents of Matt Lanter as Aquaman, Jerry O'Connell as Superman, Jason O'Mara as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Sean Astin as Shazam, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Sam Witwer as Orm, and actress Sumalee Montano as Mera.
The film is scheduled to be released by WHV in early 2015 on DVD, Blu-ray and for digital download and on demand.
