April 17, 2017: Michael McElhatton to Play Mystery Role in "Justice League"

by Neil Cole

At the recent London red carpet event for the TV series "Genius", actor Michael McElhatton ("Game of Thrones") revealed that he has an unnamed role in "Justice League".

"I can't really tell you anything about that. Who knows, maybe they're doing reshoots?", said McElhatton to Red Carpet News TV. "I can't really say, but it looks pretty amazing."

"It's hard to know, they shoot so much stuff," he continued in regard to the overall tone of Justice League. "There's probably going to be a lot more humor in it, I think would be the main difference compared to [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice]."

While McElhatton could not reveal what character he is portraying in "Justice League", he did offer up a few key details of the scene he shot for the film.

"The scene I did... well at the moment I can say it's a big kind of opening scene. It was pretty dark actually, in it's tone. But in a good way... I quite like that. It wasn't comic book-y, but you can thread a certain amount of humor in it, which maybe [Batman v Superman] was lacking."

"Justice League" premieres in theaters worldwide on November 17th.
