According to the latest round of rumors regarding the 2016 follow-up to "Man of Steel", lead star Henry Cavill may assume a new look that is more in line with that of Superman from year's past.
A new report from CBM states that their source, General Napier, has told them that Cavill will be sporting a new haircut in the film that will resemble that of Superman's look in Alex Ross and Mark Waid's classic "Kingdom Come" storyline.
The new look will be shorter in length and will see the inclusion of Superman's trademark "S" curl.
The report goes on to state that the movie will end with an "insane cliffhanger" which, going forward, will be part of Warner Bros.' master plan to dethrone Marvel Studios.
The studio is fully aware that Marvel films have become notorious for their post-credits scenes and, having no interest in copying that formula, Warner Bros. is betting on that the cliffhanger route will become just as popular in it's own right.
It is also expected that Warner Bros. will begin the film's marketing campaign in the coming months which will see the release of official film photos and the launch of a viral website with a "choose your side" angle.
Keep in mind though that all these claims are strictly rumor and, until such time that they have either been verified or denied by the studio, should be taken with a grain of salt.
The yet-to-be-titled follow-up to "Man of Steel" will star Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha 'Ma' Kent, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.
The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015 but the premiere date has now been moved to May 6th, 2016.
