WhatsPlaying.com are reporting that Zack Snyder’s Superman Reboot will take place in Smallville, Metropolis and West Africa.

The report goes on to state that while Superman will be featured in the film, the primary focus of the story will center on Clark Kent who is "a young journalist, traveling for the globe, who would rather solve problems and help people without resorting to using his special powers."

In a supposed character breakdown issued to casting agencies, the film's plot involves Clark getting involved in a battle between two West African tribes.

"When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, Clark returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be".

The site also claims that Anne Hathaway is now a contender to play Lois Lane in the film.
