The streets of Plano, IL will come alive August 15th - 17th with the sights & sounds of all things Superman as the town hosts it's 3rd Annual Smallville Superfest.
In the summer of 2011, Warner Brothers and DC Comics chose the small town to double as Superman's hometown of Smallville in the 2013 Superman movie "Man of Steel".
Festival activities will include a DJ, bands, a Super Kids Carnival, the "Zuper Zip Line" on Main Street, and the Smallville Museum which features various props and memorabilia from the Smallville sequences filmed in Plano during the "Man of Steel" production.
The festival will be capped with a Superfest Parade at 1:00PM on Sunday, August 17th. Entries will include tractors, classic cars, novelty vehicles, safety and public service vehicles from local communities, marching bands, local businesses and organizations.
Look for a complete review of the festival from Superman Super Site contributing reporter, Tiffany K., following the event.
