DC Comics has announced a clothing line collaboration with Adidas and NBA star Dwight Howard.

The publisher is working with the official NBA uniform provider and the Orlando Magic player on a series of Superman-branded apparel.

"Superman is the universal symbol of strength and speed, not to mention he has one heck of a vertical leap," said Warner Bros president of consumer products Brad Globe.

"Dwight's super heroic feats on the court make this partnership with Adidas an ideal collaboration for basketball and comic book fans alike."

The line will include footwear, t-shirts, fleeces, jerseys and track jackets.

Howard has often been compared to the Man of Steel on the court.
