The Sault Symphony Orchestra will present "The Music of John Williams" on April 26th at 8PM at Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and April 27th at 2PM at Elliot Lake Secondary School in Elliot Lake, Ontario.
The concert will feature music and clips from seven films composed by Williams including "Superman: The Movie," "The Phantom Menace," "Jurassic Park," and "Star Wars."
Williams is one of America's most prolific composers. He has won five Oscars in a career that began as an additional orchestrator for "Carousel" in 1956. Williams is currently writing the theme music for "Jurassic World," due out in 2015.
Concertmaster will be Anya Mallinger who was the featured soloist during three of Williams' works from "Schindler's List," winner of seven Oscars including best picture and director.
Tickets to the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre cost $36 for adults and $15 for students, plus box office charges. Admission to the Elliot Lake concert $45 per person.
