Three one-of-a-kind production items from the failed film "Superman: Flyby" are currently up for bids at the on-line auction house, iCollector.com.
"Superman: Flyby" items and descriptions are listed as follows:
Superman Body Armor: This life size prototype body armor/suit was created during pre-production of Superman: Flyby, the title of a Superman film which was never filmed. It was in production until it was scrapped, along with several other Superman movie ideas on a seemingly endless Superman movie project, which eventually became "Superman Returns". The body armor features the projected look of the new Superman suit and may be the only one in existence. A very rare artifact from the doomed production. Measures an impressive 28" tall x 32" wide and is constructed of fiberglass with painted and applied detailing. (Starting bid: $5,000)
Kryptonian Maquette: This maquette was created during pre-production of Superman: Flyby, the title of a Superman film which was never filmed. Based on a script by J.J. Abrams and with a budget exceeding $200 million, "Superman: Flyby" was to be an origin story that would have featured a Krypton besieged by a civil war between Jor-El and his corrupt brother, Kata-Zor. Before Kata-Zor sentences Jor-El to prison, Kal-El is launched to Earth to fulfill a prophecy.
The auction on all three "Superman: Flyby" items ends 10PM PST on Saturday, March 15th.
