Speculation continues to swirl in regard to when the first wide-release teaser trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will make it's official debut.
The latest rumor concerning the trailer's release indicates that fans may get their first look at the footage as early as this coming Sunday during Super Bowl XLIX.
The rumor comes courtesy of Comicbook.com which suggests that the "Batman v Superman" trailer might be shown during the Super Bowl because "Warner Bros. might just want to make a show of strength in the face of the Disney ads for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' and 'Ant-Man' that will likely run during the Super Bowl."
Prior rumors have suggested that the trailer would debut alongside "The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" - which, as we now know, didn't happen - and Warner Bros. upcoming sci-fi adventure from the Wachowskis, "Jupiter Ascending."
Whether or not this latest rumor concerning the trailer pans out remains to be seen and, as always, should be taken with a grain of salt until such time Warner Bros. makes an official announcement.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to premiere in US theaters on March 25, 2016.
