McFarlane Toys Announces November 5 Pre-Order Date for Clark Kent Elite Edition Figure
Following the first leaked images reported Oct. 26, McFarlane Toys confirms Nov. 5 preorders for its Christopher Reeve-inspired Clark Kent Elite Edition figure.
McFarlane Toys has confirmed that its Clark Kent Elite Edition action figure, based on Christopher Reeve's portrayal in Superman: The Movie (1978), will become available to order Thursday, Nov. 5, through select retailers. The announcement establishes a release-to-retail milestone for the 7-inch DC Multiverse collectible.
The announcement follows Superman Super Site's earlier report on leaked images of the figure. The collectible depicts the mild-mannered Daily Planet reporter in a look inspired by the 1978 film.
The company's latest announcement identifies an assortment of interchangeable components, including an alternate head, removable hat, two dress-shirt attachments, eyeglasses, folded glasses and four extra hands. The figure also comes with a soft-goods trench coat, briefcase and newspaper, allowing collectors to recreate different looks associated with Reeve's portrayal of the Daily Planet reporter.
The package also includes a full-size replica press badge, an art card, a display base and an Elite Points card. McFarlane Toys says the card can be used to redeem rewards through its collector program, including one-of-a-kind prototypes.
The figure will be offered through select retailers, with participating stores yet to be announced by McFarlane Toys. The company has also not disclosed pricing or an official release date. Further availability and purchasing details are expected to be announced at a later date.
