Leaked Images Offer First Look at McFarlane Toys’ Elite Edition Clark Kent Figure
Images of a figure based on Christopher Reeve’s portrayal of Clark Kent / Superman in the 1978 blockbuster film “Superman: The Movie” have surfaced; McFarlane Toys has not announced the product or confirmed pricing and release timing.
Newly surfaced images offer a first look at a previously unannounced McFarlane Toys Elite Edition Clark Kent figure inspired by Christopher Reeve’s portrayal of Clark Kent / Superman in the 1978 blockbuster film Superman: The Movie. The figure captures the character at the moment he begins revealing his superhero identity, bringing one of the film’s most recognizable visual moments to collectible form.
The defining feature is the iconic shirt-rip pose, with Clark opening his civilian shirt to reveal the Superman costume beneath. The scene has become a signature image associated with Reeve’s portrayal, dramatizing the transformation from mild-mannered Daily Planet reporter to the Man of Steel.
The images also appear to show the figure accompanied by accessories, including glasses and other items associated with Clark Kent’s civilian identity. Although the photographs provide an initial impression of the design and presentation, McFarlane Toys has not released official product specifications, and details visible in the images should not be treated as manufacturer-confirmed.
McFarlane Toys has not formally announced the figure or confirmed its price, preorder information or retail release date. The images therefore offer an early, unofficial look at a potential addition to the company’s Superman collectibles, with further details pending an announcement from the manufacturer. Superman Super Site will update this report when confirmed information becomes available.
