Several actors with deep ties to Superman, “Smallville” and “Supergirl” will be among the celebrity guests appearing at The Nostalgia Con when the pop-culture convention returns to Houston from Oct. 2-4, 2026.

The convention’s current guest lineup includes “Smallville” stars Tom Welling, Erica Durance and Michael Rosenbaum, along with Jon Cryer, who portrayed Lex Luthor on “Supergirl,” veteran Superman voice actor George Newbern and Kiana Madeira, the voice of Kara Danvers/Supergirl in the animated series “My Adventures with Superman.” The event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, in Exhibit Halls A and B.

Welling starred as Clark Kent throughout all 10 seasons of “Smallville,” chronicling the future Man of Steel’s journey from his teenage years in Kansas to his emergence as Superman. Durance joined the series as Lois Lane and became one of the show’s central characters, while Rosenbaum portrayed Lex Luthor during the formative years of Clark and Lex’s friendship and eventual rivalry.

Durance later returned to the Superman television universe in “Supergirl,” portraying Alura Zor-El, the mother of Kara Zor-El. Welling and Durance also reprised their “Smallville” roles as Clark and Lois for the Arrowverse crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” giving viewers a glimpse of the couple years after the original series ended.

Cryer brings connections to two different eras of Superman. He first appeared as Lenny Luthor, the nephew of Gene Hackman’s Lex Luthor, in the 1987 film “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.” More than three decades later, he returned to the Superman mythology as Lex Luthor on The CW’s “Supergirl,” later carrying the role into the network’s larger Arrowverse.

Newbern is widely known to Superman fans as the voice of the Man of Steel in the animated “Justice League” and “Justice League Unlimited” series. He has returned to the role in several animated productions and video games, including “Superman vs. The Elite,” “Justice League vs. the Fatal Five” and the “Injustice” series.

Madeira joined the Superman animated legacy as Kara Danvers/Supergirl in “My Adventures with Superman.” Kara entered the story as Clark Kent’s Kryptonian cousin and became a major part of the series beginning with its second season, bringing another current interpretation of Supergirl to television. Her appearance at The Nostalgia Con gives fans of the animated series another direct Superman-family connection among the Houston guest lineup.

The Houston weekend will also feature a special “Smallville Nights” presentation with Welling and Rosenbaum on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. The separate onstage comedy event is billed as a fan-focused evening featuring stories, behind-the-scenes memories and audience interaction. The convention notes that “Smallville Nights” does not include selfies or autographs.

The Nostalgia Con is scheduled to run from 1-7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. VIP admission begins 30 minutes before the regular opening time. Guest appearances, schedules and programming are subject to change.
