"Superman & Lois" Reportedly to Begin Filming in March 2020

According to Discussing Film, the pilot episode of the CW's upcoming new television series, "Superman & Lois" will reportedly begin filming in Vancouver in March of 2020.

The series will feature actors Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in their respective roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane. Hoechlin first portrayed the role of the Man of Steel in the second season of "Supergirl" while Tulloch first appeared as Lois Lane in the 2018 "Elsewords" crossover event. Prior to the launch of the new series, both actors will be featured in their respective roles along with their newborn child in the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event.

"Superman & Lois" is described as revolving around the world's most famous superhero and comics' most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society. More details on the series including additional casting announcements are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Former "The Flash" showrunner Todd Helbing has penned the script for the pilot episode and will executive produce the series alongside Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter through their production company Berlanti Productions. Geoff Johns will also executive produce.
