Superman Unlimited #5 Variant Cover Debuts at 2025 Cincinnati Comic Expo

The 2025 Cincinnati Comic Expo will feature a limited-edition variant cover for Superman Unlimited #5, highlighting the Cincinnati Museum Center, also known as Union Terminal, as the Hall of Justice. Developed in collaboration with One Stop Comic Shop and renowned artist Jeffrey Edwards, the cover celebrates both Superman and Supergirl in a vibrant, summer-themed scene.
The issue will be available exclusively at the Expo next month, with Edwards on hand to sign copies for fans and collectors. Pre-orders can be made through the Cincinnati Comic Expo sales site under the "Extras" section. Remaining copies will be available at the Expo's Merch Booth and the One Stop Comic Shop Booth, priced at $25 each.
Reflecting on the creation of the cover, Edwards stated, "I had to learn more about the Cincinnati Union Terminal! I really sunk my teeth into this one! It was so much fun!" He described his artistic vision for the piece: "A bright summer day, I wanted to give the impression that no matter what mission he has undertaken in this moment, he and Supergirl are going to head out of the Hall of Justice."
Daniel Partouche, owner of One Stop Comic Shop, confirmed the issue's limited availability, noting that it "has a print run of 1000 total copies." Pre-orders must be picked up at the Cincinnati Comic Expo Merch Booth, and fans may have their copies signed by Edwards at the One Stop Comic Shop Booth at no additional charge. One Stop Comic Shop also offers CGC grading and certification for an additional fee.
With the release of the Warner Brothers DC Comics feature film by James Gunn earlier this year, 2025 has been unofficially designated the "Summer of Superman." The Cincinnati Comic Expo will celebrate the Man of Steel with more than a dozen celebrity guests who have portrayed characters from Superman-related shows, films, and projects spanning the past four decades.
Edwards concluded, "I am excited beyond words to finally get it in hand and get it out to the fans! I have high hopes that they will dig it!"
