"Superman: The Ride" Named Among Top 50 Steel Roller Coasters

Amusement Today has named "Superman: The Ride" at Six Flags New England as a recipient of their prestigious annual Golden Ticket Awards in the category of "2022's Top 50 Steel Roller Coasters".

Honoring the "best of the best" in the amusement industry, the Golden Ticket Awards are calculated from an international poll conducted by Amusement Today, a newspaper founded in 1997 that covers international amusement and water park news and trends.

"Superman: The Ride" was named as the 7th best steel roller coaster in the world and has topped the list many times since its debut in 2000 when it opened as "Superman - Ride of Steel". The hypercoaster features a 208-foot lift hill, a 221-foot drop, and a maximum speed of 77 mph.
