'Superman' (2025) Soars With Two Wins at 6th Annual Critics Choice Super Awards

DC Studios' "Superman" (2025) emerged as one of the night's top film winners at the 6th Annual Critics Choice Super Awards, earning two honors, including Best Superhero Movie, while star David Corenswet was recognized as Best Actor in a Superhero Movie. The awards, presented Thursday by the Critics Choice Association, celebrate excellence in superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror and action films and television. Superman finished tied among the top film winners of the ceremony alongside Obsession, Project Hail Mary, and The Furious, each claiming two awards.
The recognition caps a strong awards showing for James Gunn's Superman, which entered the Critics Choice Super Awards as the most-nominated film with six nominations. Corenswet's performance as the Man of Steel earned widespread acclaim from critics and audiences, with his victory highlighting the film's success in reintroducing one of popular culture's most enduring superheroes to a new generation.
Winning Best Superhero Movie places Superman atop one of the ceremony's marquee categories, recognizing the film's achievements in a field that included many of the year's biggest comic book and genre releases.
