DC Studios and Warner Bros. have officially set the home release schedule for James Gunn's "Superman", following its record-breaking run in theaters. The film will be available for digital purchase and rental beginning August 15th, 2025, with physical formats - including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD - arriving September 23rd, 2025.
The release will feature an array of bonus content, from action-packed moments like "Krypto Saves the Day!: School Bus Scuffle" to in-depth featurettes such as "Icons Forever: Superman's Enduring Legacy", "Lex Luthor: The Mind of a Master Villain", "Kryptunes: The Music of Superman", "Paws to Pixels: Krypto Is Born", "Breaking News: The Daily Planet Returns", "The Ultimate Villain, The Justice Gang", and "A New Era: DC Takes Off". Fans will also enjoy the hour-long documentary "Adventures in Making Superman", offering an inside look at the film's creative process.
Digital editions will include exclusive extras shortly after release, such as a director's commentary by James Gunn, a gag reel, and deleted scenes. As part of a special promotion, the full-length "Adventures in the Making of Superman" documentary is also now streaming at Superman.com/UnlocktheFortress using the password "HOPE".
Since its theatrical debut on July 11th, 2025, Superman has grossed over $579 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing solo Superman film in U.S. box office history (unadjusted for inflation). Its swift arrival on digital platforms underscores Warner Bros.' evolving release strategy, bringing blockbuster entertainment to audiences faster than ever.
