Superman Movies Actor Shane Rimmer Passes Away at 89

Canadian actor and screenwriter Shane Rimmer passed away at the age of 89 early Friday morning at his home in England.

Rimmer had small starring roles in "Superman: The Movie" as a Naval Transport Commander, "Superman: II" as a NASA Flight Controller, and "Superman: III" as a State Police Officer.

He was best known for his role as pilot Scott Tracy on the British science-fiction television series "Thunderbirds" which featured marionette puppetry and aired for two seasons from 1964 - 1966.

Rimmer also appeared in a diversity of role in several James Bond films including "Dr. Strangelove," "Rollerball," "The Spy Who Loved Me," "You Only Live Twice," and "Diamonds Are Forever".
