A new SUPERGIRL mural inspired by the artwork of acclaimed Brazilian comic artist Bilquis Evely has been unveiled at Batman Alley (Beco do Batman) in São Paulo, Brazil. Painted by Brazilian street artists, the large-scale mural celebrates Evely's acclaimed illustrations from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the DC Comics series that inspired DC Studios' Supergirl, now playing in theaters.
Located in São Paulo's Vila Madalena neighborhood, Batman Alley is one of Brazil's best-known street art destinations, attracting visitors from around the world with its ever-changing collection of murals. The new Supergirl installation brings Evely's distinctive interpretation of Kara Zor-El to the landmark's colorful walls, paying tribute to one of Brazil's most celebrated comic book artists while highlighting the character's enduring popularity on both the page and the screen.
A native of the São Paulo metropolitan area, Evely has earned international recognition for her work on Wonder Woman, The Dreaming, and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The new mural further showcases her artistic legacy, transforming one of her iconic illustrations into a vibrant public work of art in the heart of Brazil's street art capital.
