Melissa Benoist Says Goodbye to "Supergirl"
Following six seasons of The CW's "Supergirl", actress Melissa Benoist has taken to Instagram to say goodbye to the lead role she first landed back in 2015.
"Thank you for an incredible 6 years," stated Benoist on Friday, August 6. "The cast who became family, everyone who worked on the show, all of you who watched us week after week. That's a wrap on @supergirlcw."
Along with the post, Benoist also included a photo of herself alongside longtime castmates Chyler Leigh and David Harewood in their respective roles as Alexandra "Alex" Danvers/Sentinel and J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter.
The final episodes of "Supergirl" begin airing on Tuesday, August 24th on The CW.
