McFarlane Toys Unveils “Superman #204” DC Cover Series 3D Metal Pin

McFarlane Toys is expanding its DC Cover Series with a new 3D metal pin celebrating one of the most recognizable Superman covers of the modern era, featuring Jim Lee’s artwork from “Superman” #204.

The collectible recreates the memorable image of Superman hovering high above Metropolis, his cape flowing behind him as the city stretches out below. Originally published in 2004, the artwork has become one of Lee’s signature images of the Man of Steel and has appeared on a variety of Superman merchandise and collectibles over the years.

Priced at $20, the “Superman #204” DC Cover Series 3D Metal Pin is offered as a base silver metal enamel pin, while collectors also have a chance to receive one of three limited metal variants. Gold versions are individually numbered to 75, antique versions are limited to 25 and black nickel versions are limited to just 10.

The limited variants are randomly substituted for the standard silver edition in qualifying orders, adding an element of surprise for collectors. McFarlane Toys notes that the chances of receiving a non-base version are based on the total number of pins produced.

The release is part of McFarlane Toys’ ongoing DC Comic Cover Pin Series, which celebrates artwork from throughout DC’s publishing history. Each release transforms a notable comic book cover into a dimensional metal collectible, with the series spanning characters and eras from across the DC Universe.

The “Superman #204” DC Cover Series 3D Metal Pin is currently available for pre-order through the McFarlane Toys Store, with an estimated January shipping date.
