Excitement is building for the Annual Superman Celebration, returning June 12th - 14th, 2026, in Superman's official hometown of Metropolis, Illinois.
Now in its 48th year, this one-of-a-kind event blends the energy of a festival with the excitement of a convention. Hosted by the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce, the three-day celebration draws fans of all ages from across the United States and around the world.
With crowds exceeding 25,000 attendees, the event offers a wide range of entertainment, contests, celebrity appearances, and special guests, including comic book artists and writers. Fans can also enjoy movie-themed experiences and much more. Popular highlights include meeting the Official Metropolis Superman and taking photos in front of the iconic 15-foot bronze statue of the Man of Steel.
