John Krasinski Voicing Role of Superman in 'DC League of Super-Pets'

John Krasinski has taken to Twitter to reveal that he will be voicing the role Superman in the upcoming "DC League of Super-Pets" animated movie.

"Always wanted to do a buddy movie with [The Rock]," Krasinski tweeted along with an image from the film of Superman and Krypto flying side-by-side. "Well, these are the roles we were born to play! (FYI... DJ's the one with the tongue)."

Krasinski is the latest voice role to be revealed alongside Johnson as Krypto the Superdog, Kevin Hart as Ace the Bat-Hound, Marc Maron as Lex Luthor, Vanessa Bayer as PB (Wonder Woman's Pig), Natasha Lyonne as Merton (The Flash's Turtle), and Diego Luna as Chip (Green Lantern's Squirrel). Other cast members in voice roles yet to be revealed include Kate McKinnon, Keanu Reeves, and Jameela Jamil.

The film is loosely based on the comic book series, "Legion of Super-Pets" which first hit newstands in 1962's Adventure Comics #293 by Jerry Siegel, Curt Swan and George Klein. The original team of super-powered pets included Krypto the Superdog, Streaky the Supercat, Beppo the Super-Monkey and Comet the Super-Horse.

"DC League of Super-Pets" is written & directed by Jared Stern ("The Watch," "The Lego Batman Movie") and scheduled to debut in theaters on May 20th, 2022.
