Warner Bros. Discovery is marking the arrival of James Gunn's "Superman" on HBO Max with a full platform refresh inspired by the Man of Steel. Beginning September 19, subscribers will see the service transformed with new design elements, interactive features, and curated programming that extend the film's world onto the streaming platform.
The HBO Max homepage will adopt the look of the Daily Planet, with updated artwork and content rails highlighting Superman's history and legacy. A dedicated "Fortress of Solitude" hub will showcase curated titles, commentary, and themed selections designed to complement the film. For those willing to search, hidden entry points across the interface will lead to "Lex Luthor's Pocket Prison," an interactive digital space devoted to Superman's greatest rival.
Superman has earned more than $615 million globally during its theatrical run and represents the first feature in Gunn's new DC Universe slate. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. It will begin streaming exclusively on HBO Max on September 19, with its HBO broadcast premiere set for September 20.
By integrating film-inspired environments and interactive elements directly into the platform, HBO Max continues its strategy of creating event-level experiences for major releases, giving audiences new ways to engage with DC's flagship hero.
