HBO Max Swaps "Batman v Superman" Theatrical Cut With 3-Hour Ultimate Edition

HBO Max has swapped out the theatrical cut of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" with the 3-hour "Ultimate Edition" of the 2016 film.
The official HBO Max Instagram account states, "The full 3-hour Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now streaming exclusively on HBO Max. Put that long weekend to good use."
In addition, all four of the original Superman films starring Christopher Reeve in the title role as well as 2016's "Superman Returns" have been added to the streaming service.
Originally released in 2016, the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman features an extended cut of the film which includes 30 more minutes of story and action not seen in theaters. The extended cut is unrated on HBO Max and is available on 5.1 HD.
In "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
Directed by Zack Snyder from a screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, the film stars Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gla Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, and Holly Hunter as Senator Finch.
