Funko Reveals Absolute Superman and Brainiac POP! Figures

Funko is bringing DC’s Absolute Universe to its popular POP! vinyl line with a new trio of figures centered on two of the universe’s most recognizable characters: Absolute Superman and Absolute Brainiac. The first-look images reveal Absolute Superman as POP! number 659, accompanied by a Chase variant, while Absolute Brainiac is numbered 661 and features a glow-in-the-dark finish.

The Absolute Superman figure reflects the radically reimagined version of the Man of Steel introduced in DC’s alternate continuity. Rather than the traditional bright red and blue appearance associated with Superman, the POP! figure translates the character’s heavier, more battle-tested aesthetic into Funko’s stylized vinyl format.

Collectors will also have the opportunity to track down an Absolute Superman Chase variant. The Chase figure features a distinctive monochromatic presentation, giving the collectible a substantially different appearance from the standard Absolute Superman POP! and adding an additional rarity to the release.

Joining Superman is Absolute Brainiac, POP! number 661. The figure gives the classic Superman villain a new cybernetic appearance consistent with the darker visual identity of DC’s Absolute Universe, while its glow-in-the-dark treatment provides an additional collectible feature.

According to the source announcement, the new Absolute Universe Funko POP! figures are scheduled to go live this Wednesday at 12:00 a.m. EST. Collectors interested in Absolute Superman, the Chase variant and Absolute Brainiac will be able to pursue the figures when the new wave launches.
