Fandango Shares Emotional Deleted Supergirl Scene Featuring Ruthye's Family

Fandango has shared an exclusive deleted scene from Supergirl, giving fans another look at footage that was ultimately left out of the theatrical release. The clip, titled "Knoll Family," is one of the bonus features included with the film's recently released digital edition and offers additional insight into the early life of Ruthye Marye Knoll before the events that set the story in motion.
The scene depicts Ruthye spending time with her parents and siblings, showcasing the warmth of the Knoll family and providing greater emotional context for the character. By expanding on her life before tragedy strikes, the deleted footage reinforces the personal loss that drives Ruthye's determination to pursue Krem of the Yellow Hills alongside Kara Zor-El.
Fandango's release of the clip highlights one of several deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes extras available as part of Supergirl's digital home entertainment release. Together with featurettes documenting the making of the film and its characters, the bonus material offers viewers a broader look at scenes and story elements that were removed during the final edit.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, and Jason Momoa as Lobo. The film is now available on digital platforms and arrives on 4K Ultra HD Limited Edition Steelbook + Blu-ray + Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on September 8, with more than 90 minutes of bonus features, including deleted scenes, featurettes and behind-the-scenes documentaries.
