The Metropolis, IL Superman Celebration Planning Committee has announced the return of one of the event's most memorable highlights as the spectacular Superman-themed drone show will once again light up the skies above Metropolis this summer. After captivating audiences during last year's celebration, the high-tech aerial display is set to make its much-anticipated comeback with an all-new performance designed to deliver another unforgettable experience for fans attending the annual festival honoring the Man of Steel.
Billed as "The Sequel!", the dazzling drone show will be presented by SkyGlow Drones and take place on Friday, June 12th at 9:00PM during the 2026 Superman Celebration. Using a fleet of coordinated drones equipped with vibrant LED lights, the nighttime spectacle will transform the sky above Metropolis into a living canvas, creating animated imagery and symbols inspired by Superman in a carefully choreographed display.
