Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's "The Death of Superman" earned the award for Best Direct-to-Video Movie at the Ninth Annual Home Media Awards which honor the best home video releases of 2018.

The film is the 32nd entry in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series and is based on the 1992 DC comic book storyline of the same name in which Superman and Doomsday battle to the death.

"Batman: The Complete Animated Series - Deluxe Limited Edition" earned the top prizes for Title of the Year and TV on Disc of the Year. It also won Best Complete TV Series Set.

"Superman: The Movie" (4K Ultra HD) had received nominations for "Best Upgrade" - a new edition to replace an existing edition of a disc - and "Best Superhero Disc" but lost out to "Benji: The Original Classic" and "Avengers: Infinity War", respectively.

Winners were chosen by a panel of judges in conjunction with an online consumer vote for eligible titles submitted for consideration by studios and distributors.
