David Corenswet Buried in Latest "Superman" Set Photos

Filming continues to take place on director James Gunn's "Superman" in Cleveland, OH with production recently shifting to the PNC Center Plaza located in the downtown business district of the city.
A recent scene filmed in the plaza (pictured below) which has been transformed into the fictional comic book City of Metropolis featured actor David Corenswet as Superman being buried up to his neck within a massive crater.
What causes the Man of Steel to wind up in this dire situation remains to be seen but speculation would point to it being the result of a battle as other scenes recently filmed in the plaza area have involved various extras fleeing in terror from an unknown menace.
"Superman" tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
In addition to Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, the films stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.
"Superman" is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
