DC Comics Superhero Hershey Bars Being Sent to Healthcare Workers
Hershey's and DC Comics have partnered to launch a new line of limited edition DC-themed superhero chocolate bars with the first batches being sent to healthcare workers, hospitals, police stations, and fire houses in hard hit areas such as New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia.
The chocolate bars feature the iconic superheroes Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman and will be available to the general public in July.
In addition to the superhero chocolate bar donation, Hershey's has also donated millions in cash and products to a range of community safety and healthcare organizations and will install a new manufacturing line dedicated to producing up to 45,000 masks per day.
"Supporting our communities in difficult times is part of our legacy, and an important value that our current employees share," said Michele Buck, President and CEO of Hershey in a statement. "From the building projects that created local jobs during the Great Depression, to producing military rations during World War II, we take great pride in making a difference where we can."
