DC Absolute Justice Trailer

DC Comics has unveiled the full trailer for Absolute Justice, a new crossover event set in the publisher’s alternate Absolute Universe. Announced during DC’s Absolute Universe panel at New York Comic Con, the five-issue series is scheduled to begin in April 2027 and will bring several of the line’s reimagined heroes into a shared story for the first time.

Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra, Absolute Justice will feature Absolute Superman alongside Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Martian Manhunter, Absolute Flash and Green Lantern Jo Mullein. The project is designed to explore the deeper history and secrets of this version of the DC Universe while building on the separate stories already unfolding across its ongoing titles.

The trailer sets a foreboding tone for the series, suggesting that the emergence of a new generation of heroes has unsettled the forces that control this world. Its central warning — that hope itself has become a threat — hints at the kind of opposition the team will face as the Absolute heroes begin to unite.

Scott Snyder, one of the architects of the Absolute Universe, has praised Aaron’s role in shaping the line and described him as a key creative partner in its development. Aaron is working with input from the writers of the other Absolute titles to keep the characters’ voices consistent, while the crossover explores elements of the setting that extend beyond any single series. Absolute Martian Manhunter is expected to play a pivotal role in bringing the group together.

DC has also emphasized that Absolute Justice is intended to be an accessible, self-contained event. The five-issue story is planned to unfold without crossover tie-ins or interruptions to the regular Absolute books, making it a potential entry point for new readers as well as a major moment for existing fans. Absolute Justice #1 is scheduled to arrive in April 2027. Fans can watch for further details through DC’s official website as the release approaches.
