Alex Ross "Justice League" Mural in Tauranga, New Zealand
A mural inspired by legendary comic book artist Alex Ross' 2000 "JLA: The Original Seven" artwork currently adorns a wall in the Mount Maunganui suburb of Tauranga, New Zealand.
The huge mural was created in 2012 by the extremely talented artist Owen Dippie who originally hails from Kawerau, New Zealand and who has been painting his large-scale realist portraiture on the streets of New Zealand and New York for over a decade.
The mural is located on the side of a small industrial building near the Tauranga Airport and, just as the original Alex Ross art piece, features portraits of Justice League team members Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter.
