Variety has announced in an exclusive report that Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has renewed its multi-year licensing agreement with Bioworld, extending the companies' long-running partnership ahead of the highly anticipated release of James Gunn's "Superman" movie. The new two-year deal continues Bioworld's exclusive rights to develop and distribute merchandise tied to more than 150 WBD-owned franchises, including Superman, DC, Harry Potter, and Looney Tunes.
The agreement covers a wide range of product categories - including apparel, headwear, backpacks, footwear, and home goods - which will be available throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
While Bioworld's broader collaboration with Warner Bros. began in 2008, the partnership with the Superman brand reaches a 20-year milestone in 2025, coinciding with Bioworld's 25th anniversary. The timing aligns with a renewed global spotlight on the Man of Steel, as Gunn's Superman prepares to usher in a new era of the DC Universe.
Variety also shared the following images of new Superman products from Bioworld that are scheduled to be released in the near future.
