Multiverse Fan Films have released their latest film entitled "Defiance" which is a follow-up to their 2016 film, "Man of Tomorrow".
The Joker is back! In the not too distant future and a few years after the events of "The Awakening", the Joker and Harley Quinn kidnap star reporter Lois Lane for the interview of the century!
In an ultimate demonstration to the world, will the Joker stay the eternal prince of crime or will he become a "God like figure" that he wishes so much to become?
"Defiance" takes its roots in the continuity of films having their own approach of the "super-hero" mythos.
The film continues the "myth deconstruction" and "realist" approach of "Man of Tomorrow" and engages in themes like "post modernism", fake news, and social media at it's core. The film is also tinted with some "cyber-punk" savors.
"Defiance" deals with very current topics related to social networks, the media and their influences over people and politics in general. To see the Joker evolve in this new theme is new and exciting. The character has been known as a gangster, anarchist or terrorist but not (yet) with a cyber-criminal component.
"Defiance" is the fifth film from Multiverse Fan Films. More than 100 film, television, and advertising professionals worldwide from France, USA, Canada, and Belgium all united to help create this DC Comics content!
