Superman Musical Soars Onto Circleville, OH Stage this Summer

The Roundtown Players Community Theatre in Circleville, OH is excited to announce its summer production of the high-flying Broadway musical comedy, "It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman!" with performances scheduled for July 25th - 27th and August 1st - 3rd, 2025, at Memorial Hall in downtown Circleville.
Based on the legendary DC Comics superhero, "It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman!" first premiered on Broadway in 1966, featuring music by Charles Strouse ("Bye Bye Birdie", "Annie"), lyrics by Lee Adams, and a book by David Newman and Robert Benton. This fast-paced and charmingly campy musical brings the Man of Steel to the stage in a dazzling blend of action, romance, and comedy.
The show follows Superman as he battles the evil genius Dr. Abner Sedgwick, who's bent on destroying the world's symbol of good. With plenty of musical flair, the production also explores the love triangle between Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and egotistical Daily Planet columnist Max Mencken.
